25 July arrived in Kent and spent a few days with friends. Came across a new vinyard near Penendon Heath. We then took Eurostar from Ebbsfleet to Paris where we spent 3 nights staying at Montparnasse so as to be near our departure station for our next stop - Le Mans. Jardin du Luxembourg Chaos reigned at Gare de Montparnasse on our day of departure. We had planned after our leisurely breakfast to have a 55 minute journey on the TGV to Le Mans. Sadly due to a signalling failure our train and many otheres were cancelled. we had to wait a couple of hours to get on a slower train. We eventually arrived at Le Mans late fternoon instead of lunchtime. We took a short tram ride to our hotel and set our to explore.
